Projects

I'm always working on some kind of project. Occasionally, I even finish one.

Improving speaker diarization

Progress Bar 05/100

I've got a pretty good workflow for generating transcripts from audio using a program called FasterWhisperXXL on Windows. It works pretty well, but I want to improve speaker diarization to decrease the amount of post-processing I have to do manually on the transcript. So far, I've tried a few of the different speaker diarization options built into the program, but none have been exceptionally effective. I think training a model using audio clips from our sessions will help, but I'm not quite there yet. I think having characters introduce themselves at the begging of session audio might help too.

Improving MacWhisper settings

Progress Bar 02/100

MacWhisper is a really great starting point for recording and transcribing our audio from our D&D sessions. It might be a really good option for most people that only have access to a Macbook or similar laptop that want to leverage AI to create summaries for their sessions. I need to do a deeper dive into it and learn how to use API keys for speaker diarization. So far, I don't think it will be able to provide the in-depth summaries that I get from using models with more parameters and larger context capabilities.

Minimum Spec AI rig

Progress Bar 01/100

I have a pretty decent amount of old computer parts lying around. Obviously, I use the most powerful stuff I have to work on major projects. I plan to create an AI rig using the most minimal spec equipment I have and try to demonstrate what AI tools are most functional using that equipment. This project is pretty low priority, but some day I'll get around to it, maybe.
